OpenAI's flagship AI model GPT-5.5 is here. It's smarter, faster, cheaper, better at long-running tasks and…oh boy, everything just changed again.

This week on AI For Humans, OpenAI dropped state-of-the-art GPT-5.5 and it's not just another model release, it's the start of a much faster iterative rollout. Sam Altman and Chief Scientist Jakub Pachocki both said to expect significantly more releases going forward, admitting the last few years have been surprisingly slow.
