Some think that you have a complete commitment to the rights of animals but not such a commitment to all human beings. When your own mother was very ill toward the end of her life when you as it was reported spent a great deal of money trying to keep her alive and to give her medical assistance he might have regarded it as of greater utility to kill her. It wasn't my decision alone I have a sister and we had adult my mother had adult grandchildren who wanted to participate so it was a family decisionYeah it gets complicated because maybe utilitarianism and rationality can't quite cater for human emotion for compassion for empathy for family bonds and loyalties and ties which are a part of the philosophical mix
