Fauci has been accused of funding gain a function research. Gain a function is anything that takes an existing path in the genovirus or a bacteria and makes it more hardy, making it easier to spread. Fauci ran major consortium think tank meetings called in favor of gain a function and things like that. He was kind of the octopus overseeing the big corporate money that was going into the NIH into the CDC.
