i think it's incredibly important for those of us in battling with data every single day to know that that whole thought process had to come from somewhere. It is not, you know, five thousand years ago with pillars of salt in mesopotamia,. They weren't charting relative values ad and curves and putting a trend lines in them. But actually, there was a tremendous amount of intellectual leg work in figuring out longitude and how far toledo is from rome. And the characters that you outline in the book make that mental journey.
