The Origin of Comets
The origin of comets was a mystery for a long time. Now we know they came from within the planetary system and somehow gotten kicked out to that volume, which is now called the york cloud. Once you had that clue, the step to say that the kicks must have come from the giant planets is not really such a sure sucha hard red to come from somewhere. The particular work i was doing on what's now called the oper belt arose because we were trying to do similar things.
