The plot is about a writer desperately trying to re attain even the tiny glipse of recognition that he achieved with the first book. He's sustaining himself by teaching in a bottom, really bottom-of-the-barrel program. But then his student writes an entirely new novel based on this story. "We just want people to get ahan stranger," she says.
