How to Ask for a Pay Rise
We often don't ask because we're worried what if they say no. Sometimes you're going to ask for a salary increase and they're going to say no. And that's actually okay because they might say no now, but that doesn't mean they won't say yes in six months or 12 months. You've got to understand like what's your value? If you leave, what happens? How much does it cost to recruit for your role? Like often there's a 30 to 50 K recruiting fee. It's frankly easier for them to give you a 10, 20 K raise and keep you happy than it is to lose you and pay for a recruiter.
