Mao and Joe - A History of the CCP
Jiang Yanan had served the party center well since the end of the long march in 1935. It was time to move on now, but as Mao said to Joe as they left on March 14, 1947, he will give Jiang Yanan. He will give us China. Those two, Lingdao were the last to leave. Next stop was further to the north of Shanxi in a village called Zhao Lingdao. Here Mao and Joe divided everyone up into three committees. The front committee would be Mao, Joe and Ren B. Sheer. They directed all military ops and told everyone what to do.
