The world's demographics can tell you a lot about where the world is going. The United States has the youngest demography in the rich world. Most of the deve ping world has been the consumption base and most of the developed world has been an investment base. That simple dicodomy is kind of what drives most of what's going on in the global economy. And it was always going to end because the developing world is aging rapidly, far more rapidly than the rich world ever did.
