The Effects of Genetic Engineering on Biomass

Only about 5% of the sunlight energy is converted into leaves and biomass that make a plant grow. The infamous enzyme, rubisco has a very important job. It grabs carbon dioxide so it can be converted into energy. Amanda thinks she's come up with a solution by genetically engineer plants to break down waste product more easily. Next they're planning on testing their work in crops like cow pee also known as black eyed bee which is grown widely in sub-Saharan Africa.
