The average savings rate, contribution rate into a four o one k for someone of the ties, is just under nine %. If you're saving at the rate that you should be saving by the end of the forty year old decade, your goal should be to have about four oint eight times your annual income accumulated by age 50. We showed earlier that the life expectancy has gotten right under 80 years of age. There's a good chance before you reach age 70, you can have financial independence.
