Federico Junterly and the Struggle to Sign a Russian Player

Federito Junterly has been on Napoli's list for 18 months. He was playing for Ruben Kazan in Russia when the war broke out and he canceled his contract. The club made a $12 million offer to sign him from Dina Mobitumi, which is traditionally one of the two big powers in Georgian football. It was a gamble. I don't think anybody anywhere except maybe in Georgia, it's expected to have the impact he's had because he has exploded into the European consciousness.
