The Importance of a Central Government in Australian Cricket
The first attempt to establish a central government in Australian cricket fails dismally because it doesn't have the consent of the players. A few pounds could start a newspaper back then and it would be like somebody's Facebook page saying wind farms are giving me lags, cats or whatever it is. And when you're talking about players, you can often find things about cricketers in the papers but they'll be describing these kind of out-tray ways. It's really hard to pin down anything that feels genuine about what a person was like.
