What Happened to the Dinosaurs?

Dinosaus were in their heyday, and they could have just kept carrying on until the asteroid hit. The mammals did try to break out from under the yoke of the dinsar several times. But it wasn't until the dinosaurs died out that mammals could really grow. And you get you get animals the size of rominos and elephants, and eventually human beings other than the size of an elephant.
