Is There a Dynasty?
There are two approaches to political power. You either have a strict hereditary dissent with rules, which means that successions are pretty orderly. Or you can have a series of ferociously efficient administrators and conquerors ruling these dynasties. But in the end, they too run out of steam. And I think to be an absolute monarch is incredibly difficult task. You basically got to be good at everything. And that's pretty hard to deliver. So there are different approaches to dynasty as well as different approaches to family. Most families have appalling rivalries between brothers and parents and fathers and sons - but all change over time.
