Vagrancy is really just a way of Just being able to arrest them right? Yeah, because they make a law against poor people They don't have a place to actually stay so if they can't prove they live anywhere you can just arrest them and get rid of it. The vagrancy laws were which declared that every person who roams about from place to place without any lawful business is a vagrant. And is punishable by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment in the county jail Not exceeding six months or both. So it used to be illegal to chill so you find the guy without a houseSo then they can then they can dig the way out of it.
