I feel as if the whole wrong pronoun thing is starting to fall away. I think that we're conflating people who have mental illness with those who have something actually going on in terms of their gender dysphoria, or dysmorphia,. Don't you think there's two categories? Is it 90% mental illness, or 1%? How would I know? There's mental illness everywhere. It wouldn't be a big surprise if trans people have mental illness like everybody else in the world.
