i'd long wanted to write a novel about munich. i thought, well, could i write it from chamberlain's point of view? No, that's to boring. And then i yo confess, the historian who was the ghost writer for albert spear, on spear's memoirs, inside the third rake, he published the diary of his conversations with spear. And these added this line about how hitler hated that whole agreement and was furious about it. Suddenly, i saw these two figures as a way of being able to show hitler and er chamberlain n their attitudes to the time. If i, if i could, then i could then bring these two people together.
