There were seven thousand 700 sailors and 18 thousand 703 soldiers on the crulis of the of the spanish moros, which still exist. There were some italians, but there was also quite a substantial contingent of exiled english catholics on board. They ran into trouble in the later battle which the mada was involved in when some of them were run ashore and were captured by dutch rebels. So their fates were sealed still to come.
