The Future of Ham Radio

In 2014 T mobile bought like $3 million worth a billion dollars of frequency spectrum from Verizon wireless. And the federal government sets aside that frequency spectrum to allow ham radio operators to experiment and learn about things. FT eight is what I describe as ham radio on steroids. It allows you to connect a radio to a computer and it allows you to establish a connection with somebody else very, very quickly. So there is no searching the band and trying to find some, it largely is automated through a computer.
