The movie humanized Jessica so much that i was surprised in the moments when she was a bad ass. She is more of an intersted, emotionally interesting figure than i had remembered being. And there is an extent to which she is kind of along for the ride for some of what goes on. I mean, just, i get the they chose to have her go a different way with the character, and it's macing she was bad at it.
