When carter and his team started to work through these musty piles of objects, they began to make some spectacular discoveries. The one i suppose that everybody would recognize is the gold funery mask covering the face of the mummified pharaoh. There were other golden objects which really caught the eye straightway. And then two extraordinary guardian statues, with their skin coloured black, but with gold and trappings,. Which guarded the entrance from the antechamber to the burial chamber. So some really spectacular objects that immediately caught carter's eye.
