How to Make a Good Recording Without Processing

I have a whole tortoise that I use to play the guitar. It's hard to tell what I get to recording these days, except unless it's Jeff or Quizzy Jones. If you record something and you kind of know that you want it to sound a certain way and it does on playback without the processing, then I would say you probably succeeded a little bit in getting where you want to go. Just one of the things I love about recording is because I might have an idea of what things want to sound like, but as soon as I hear something that takes me in a different direction, I just follow that direction. And that's more fun than going from A to B.
