There's been a whitewashing, an effort to down play what happened that day. The house select committee investigating the january sixth attack issued a new round of sapinas to four of the world's biggest social media companies. Committee chair benny thompson is seeking more documents from twitter, readit and the parent companies of facebook and google. Thompson says the committee is looking into the role social media played in the spread of misinformation and violent extremes leading up to last year's attack.
