The process of mummification does change over time. In the Greek period, the wrapping technique is much more elaborate. But what these fancy wrappings are hiding is poor embalming technique. They very often didn't dehydrate the body thoroughly. The internal organs were taken out at mummification because they're moist and you have to get them dehydrated also. So there were changes in mummification techniques, but it's still basically the same procedure dehydrate thebody, make sure it's all together and it'll resurrect.
