Soto's idea of mysticism as an operational or performance in a text which kind of does something to an inherited tradition. Drone metal takes on lots of signifiers from Black Sabbath and but kind of overextends them and pushes them to their breaking point. And so I think you can see that just even in the sand that it's almost like taking a Black Sabbath song and extending it for an hour sort of almost pushing it to its limits. So we had similar in the ways that people talk about going to concerts you find these very similar and familiar gestures of talking about mysticism and ritual.
