The Importance of Goalkeepers
I was told it's not a glamour position, which I get. But every single talking point that you have when you watch the highlights or watch the football match involves a goalkeeper. So by default, it should be involved a lot more in terms of analysis. Sky Sports News next year doing sort of a Ref Watch - they do like goalkeeper's corner, keeper's corner, whatever. Just know that that was my idea and I pitched it. You're really basic, almost like caveman sort of basics. If a goalkeeper grunted, the defence would still know what he wants. It's exactly the same as goalkeepers of Sunday League. They're literally saying the same things. Love
