The Ideology of Re Education Within the Labor Camps
Soviets also had this ideology of re education. So unlike the nase concentration camps, even if the outcome in the soviet camps was often death, and they were actually not extermination camps. The ideological idea behind it was a that if you work well, you can somehow redeem yourself again. But for the artists, and this was also a way to survive ad because these camps were really a mirror of soviet society at large.
