The Benefits of Studying Arabic
When you're studying like the internal engineering classic, statics and dynamics, it's a bunch of formulas. You don't know what the application is. But I think for me, it was like the exposure, the immersion and the Hawkes-I view of Arabic grammar. We would take a book with no Arab. So none of the diacritical marks. And he would just tell me to read. He would ask me to explain every single grammatical and etymological and linguistic and semantic detail of every single word. Right? Because even if you're in a class and a teacher asks you to read, you're not going to be asked to read every single day.
