i think that some perspective is helpful when we think about the big one, or the frequency of market down turns. What you have to do is determine ar my inaport olio, where i can weather this present volatility without being scared of the big one. Because maybe the big one doesn't happen quite as often as you think it does. If you bought on an annual basis, if you'd just always be buying, you could annualize performance greater than 11%.
