When Richard was killed in 1485 at the Battle of Bosworth, he was buried in this small, priory church in Leicester called the Greyfriars. About 50 or so years after that, after the dissolution of the monasteries, his grave became lost and it was said that his remains had been thrown into the nearby river saw.
