Joseph kennedy began working as a football coach at bremerton high school in two thousand eight after nearly two decades of service in the marine corps. He prayed on his own, but over time, some players asked whether they could pray alongside him. For over seven years, no one complained. The district superintendent first learned of them only in september 20, fifteenth, after an employee from another school commented positively on the schools practices to bremerton's principle. After receiving that letter, mister kennedy ended the tradition predating him of offering locker room prayers.
