Did Isis Have a Big Game Plan in Afghanistan?
Isis were just a force in afghanistan, says Haman. They succeeded in attracting few hundred disaffected taliban fighters. But that, i think, failed in the same way as ises failed in yemen. There was already a traditional jhadist in groups there,. existing on the ground, and trying to out compete them. It takes considerable amount of persuasion resources. And that something that isis inAfghanistan did not have. So instead of being the alternative, that became the desruptor, i see.
