Every aircraft has a ground effect. If you allow the air airplane to sit in ground effect, you can scoot on down the runway. It's a very long way before you eventually fall out of the sky. Regents, electric sea gliders are technically categorized as wing in ground effect craft, or whigs. That may also help mesa airlines cope with a pilot shortage.
