Persepolis - Architecture on an Imperial Scale
Prycepolis is one of the great sights of antiquity. It was a building site for over 200 years, as every successive king did their own buildings on to e the imperial platform. The ruins have a really haunting quality to them. They're very beautiful, but it really is architecture on an imperial scale.
