Macalavianism and the Black Church
"I've never stopped connecting the two and as someone who is not Baptist, not actually someone who practices faith. And I was not for obvious reasons going to be a leader in the black church movement," he says. "The black church has been key to many of those struggles in my lifetime in every campaign." Macalavianism means that workers themselves have the power to organize and force significant concessions from their bosses but from society as well.
