The Department of Justice Is Not a Big Inter Bravado, but a Very Serious Set of Measures
i can't give youa insight into internal d o j machinations, ecause i'm not privy to any of them. But i will say that i have never seen a document remotely like this filed that does not precede an indictment. And the department here, quite unnecessarily, told a great deal about its investigation. None of that was necessary to respond to what are essentially trivial legal arguments on the part of the former president. The only reason to do this was as a show of strength,. and we're also going to tease a little bit of evidence about trump's personal conduct.
