A History of the Orient - A Book Review
i take you through a journey from starting at elizabethan, england, all the way up to the first world war. And i look at how britain interacted with the orient and its peoples. I thought that it revealed slices of history about britain that we have forgotten. There are objects and places that have either been lost or concealed or overlooked. Unfortunately, and this is changing, but unfortunately, i think many of our heritage sites still tell a fairly monolithic story.
