The Steely to Malcolm X, the Assassinated Civil Rights Activist
Sculptures are dedicated to Malcolm X, the assassinated civil rights activist who was killed in 1965. "These stells were not supposed to be, you know, portraits of him or political statements," he says. The Steely have taken more than five decades to make and include a number of personal personas.
