Treatment for sub tailor locations can be non operative or operative. Non operative management includes close reduction and short legged, non way bearing cast for four to six weeks. Operative options include open reduction, which is indicated for open dislocations as well as failure of close reduction. Know that up to 32 % of sub tailor locations require open reduction. A c t scan should be performed following reduction. In terms of findings, be sure to look for associated injuries or sub tailor debris.
