And that’s exactly what he did, forming an investing partnership with two friends in order to qualify for a loan.

Along the way, the deal was nearly derailed by lenders falling through and rigorous FHA inspections, but the trio pivoted and finally moved into the property, renting out rooms to friends to help minimize their share of the mortgage payment.
