Are We Restless?
Are we restless? What does that mean? Prove it to me first, thanks to the question and the word restless. The french word is inqitude, disquiet. It's an idea with a very long history. You could talk about saint augustine saying, our hearts are restless until restant god. In another sense, i think this is a very modern and contemporary phenomenon that i think many of us can observe in ourselves. We have this experience of a very intense kind of, or not intense, actually, the intense is the wrong word for it,. This experience of a constant attraction to distraction. But there's just something, you know, where told progress is happening
