What Kind of Dried Fig Are We Talking About?
An 11th century Spanish rabbi wrote that a dried fig is one third the size of an egg. So if we can relate eggs to figs and figs to olives and olives to matzah, we just have to figure out what the standard egg is. This logic is using the transitive property of a dried fig to confirm at least the size of the measurement of an olive tying an olive to a recognizable measure an egg.
