My entire family, which doesn't consist of too many people, they hated the San Fernando Valley. They idolize John Kennedy who was misogynistic as hell and exploited women. There's just something that feels garish, a ghost or something. And I think it was shame for them. Whenever anyone talked about having, you know, they hated rich people. It's literally like a fine painting versus a cinder block. North Hollywood is not Bourbon Street. No. It's nothing. It's culturally vacant. It is a vacuum of culture. Everything was just one big alpha beta supermarket with a endless acres of black top, hot, stucco. Even the roof had no personality.
