Be suspicious of sore patches on the side of the tongue or on the cheek. Don't just assume because they say that they're biting their cheek, they keep biting their cheek that it's as simple as you need to drill the cusps down a bit. If there is an underlying mass pushing the tissues out so that they're getting bitten more often, get them referred right away. It's very simple to diagnose off three weeks where the mucosa is still not looking like it should be. Sometimes a patient's not even feeling discomfort, but it's observation that you've made. And if it's still not looking better, get that referral sorted.
