I think that oftentimes people assume that because you are a part of the LGBTQ community, that then you have a deep understanding about what it's like to be trans. And so within our own community, there has been bias and discrimination. It's why trans people have always been the low hanging fruit. We can attack them because they're not even quote unquote understood within their own community. So on the other side of the aisle, I wish that they would just put the culture word down for a second, talk to a trans person,. When's the last time that you sat down, rolled up your sleeves, and in the classroom, as we said, turned your listening ears on?
