Kombucha is a fermented tea made from the skin, rind and seed of pomegranate. It contains compounds that are fantastic for secondary and tertiary metabolite conversion. The bacteria in your gut actually convert those polyphenols into what's called a secondary metabolite and a tertiary metabolites.
