Swera: I can totally understand and see a very legitimate argument being made for the fact that there is more dignity in them being able to die in peace than being kept alive. In aruna's situation, though, the decision to keep her alive or not fell at the hands of the nurses who had spent the last three and a half decades taking care of her. And they said they were not going to let her die. So despite whatever pinky virani believed and whatever ruling the court had generated, aruna was going to continue to live in that state. A senior nurse at the hospital came forward to say, we have to tend to her just like a small child at home.
