The first film presents this metaphor of, like, there's the matrix, and you wake up from the matrix. And a lot of people, i think, watching that, i don't remember. It was only in later life that i actually read a little bit, like jean baugeriard or something like it, like understood simulation and simulacror. The point is the matrix is a metaphor for society and these other things. So initially, going into the matrix, a resurrections teat, was something that i was a little disappointed by.
