Synovial Sarcoma With SYT SSX1 Translocation
A 40-year-old patient presents with a mass in the left-grade toe that is increased in size over the last several months. Genetic analysis reveals an SYT SSX1 fusion protein. The immunohistochemistry can be positive for cytokine, vimentin, sporadic S100, and epithelial membrane antigen. Southern evaluated the archaeological outcomes of 63 patients with soft tissue sarcomas of the hand.
